The Catawba County Court Judge of the Superior Court is Judy Sherrill and the judge of the District Court is Cathie Hodnett. Court Bailiffs are responsible for the security and safety of the courts in both the Catawba County Justice Center and the Hickory District Court Complex. As many as seven different courts can be in session at one time. These include Superior Civil and Criminal, District Civil & Criminal, Magistrate Courts, Infractions Court, Domestic Violence Court, Juvenile Court and Special Proceedings Court.
